About the Artist

Hi, it's me, Ray van Buren.

I'm 61 years old, and my passion is creating Van Gogh-inspired digital art.

Back in the eighties, I studied at art school for two years. After that, I started working as a professional carpet layer. After working for several employers, I decided to take a big step and start my own business — and successfully ran it for 25 years.

Then life took an unexpected turn. I developed serious health problems and eventually had to give up my business. After recovering, I decided it was time to return to my roots and rediscover my passion for art.

I began designing large Van Gogh-inspired canvases, combining my love for art with my own creative ideas and style.

Unfortunately, due to a wrist injury, I can no longer paint with a traditional brush. But I found the next best thing: digital art.

For me, digital art has been a complete game changer. It allows me to continue doing what I have always loved most — creating and designing art.

As a Dutchman, I have always been a great admirer of Vincent van Gogh. I love his vibrant colors, expressive brushstrokes, phenomenal feeling for painting, and extraordinary imagination. His work has inspired countless people around the world — and I am one of them.

I am also fascinated by Van Gogh's dramatic and deeply personal life. His struggles, emotions, passion, and determination have made his story just as inspiring to me as his art.

Today, I create my own unique Van Buren Art, inspired by the world of Van Gogh while adding my own creative vision and digital techniques. Every canvas is personally designed by me and personally signed by me.

Each artwork takes many weeks of designing, experimenting, refining, and perfecting. I use a specialized digital design program to create my canvases, giving me the freedom to bring my ideas to life in ways that would otherwise no longer be possible for me.

My goal is simple: to create art that brings color, emotion, and inspiration into your home.
